Hobart stickmate wiring inside welding machine?
Ok my hobart came with #4 wire but want to lengthen the wire so Im going to replace #4 with #2 wire directly from welding machine with 40 feet of working cable and 40 feet of primary cable.. But inside the buzz box it has all #4 wire running to other components in welding machine. Would I have to look into increasing that wire size also? Or is that part of the machine set for that specific wire size even with me making the cable changes?

nothing will happen if the wire is rated at or higher than that of the original (i hate stick welding i prefer mig or acetelyne welding)
