What are some toys you can make for hamsters?
I got my hamster 2 days ago. He currently has a littler box, little house, tube made of grassy stuff to chew on/walk through, food/water, a wheel, hamster wool/bedding, and a hangy loft in his cage. It's 1 1/2 levels, and I was just wondering what kind of toys I could make him. I usually take him out to play and he loves to explore me, but I feel like he might be bored while he's awake at night =(

Sorry, I forgot to mention - he does have a hamster ball but seems very uncomfortable in it. Yes, I have 3 cats, and if they find out I have a hamster, I have a problem.
My hamster is quite content with a wheel. She will run for hours. I would also recommend a hamster ball- my hamster was uncomfortable/unsure of how to work the ball. Just even nudging the ball a little bit might help her realize how to use it. My hamster now loves it.
But honestly, the hamster will be fine at night as long as it has food, water, and wheel to run in.
