So, I was using the computer while my nails were half-way dry (which was a bad idea) and I accidentally placed my wet nail on the mouse pad. I used acetone to remove it and it got worse. Now, I have a big black blob on my mouse pad, which looks bad. Help me! Thanks! 
You'll have to be patient with this method, but if it works for removing paint it may work for you, too:
Try using MORE (... but clear-colored) fingernail polish to carefully dissolve and wetten the stained area and then immediately blot it off the surface with paper towels. Use a rolling action when you blot, as if it were a sauce you just spilled on your shirt. it may be necessary to repeat. You won't want to make the blotch any larger so just be extremely careful!
