i have a moresafe welding helmet that is dark blue and there is no telling how old it is but i got it from an old guy who retired in like 1990 inside the helmet it has some numbers that says Z87-1979 i dont know if this helps but the problem is i cant figure out it its the right or real band that came with it when i got it it was on there backwards so i switched it around and i cant figure it out i was wandring it there was some kind of website or anything that could tell me how it goes together or where i could find a diagram thanks
You can go to a local welding supply house and ask one of the people there to help you. Or it may be better to get a new head gear for your helmet. It sounds like it may have been replaced before. Under heavy use they don't last too long. They are not too expensive to replace and you are not wearing someone else's greasy head gear.
