whats that Pipe/Tube next to bath tub?
I recently moved to a new apartment where there's a pipe/tube thingy in the bathroom next to the bathtub, it's a stand alone vertical pipe going through the floor. Every time i take a shower i use to hear gurgling sound coming out from this weird pipe so i was wondering what its for?
The other day i started messing around with it pulling the pipe out and in to see what it does there then, days after i noticed that the water in my bathtub is not draining well.
I know i have done something wrong but what is it???

The water drains under that pipe, you must raise the pipe inside the exposed pipe and turn it to lock in the up position.
