what is the best compressor for home project like drywall texturing or good for nail gun?
any good brand of compressor for small project at home
I am a 37 year experienced painter and believe in good tools..however, wal mart sells a 5 horsepower 13 gallon tanked compressor for 199.00 that actually works real well..I have had two of them now for over 8 years..I USUALLY STAY COMPLETELY AWAY FROM CAMPBELL HAUSFELD ...You mentioned blowing textures so as many years of experience..do not get A double tanked compressor no matter if it's top brand or not..You need a larger tank as I mentioned..here it is not so much horsepower that you need but you need VOLUME..A larger tank...A hopper to blow textures has a continious stream of air blowing out of them even if the hopper is not triggered..and a large orafice at this..the double tamk small ground models will not have enough volume to keep up..the texture will be inconsitant and you will have to stop spraying every 2 minutes and let the volume catch up with it...I do not care if you have 30 horsepower with small tanks..it will not have the volume of air (csfmi) to keep up wiht it....here is a picture of the compressors I have..I run my air tools as well off of them and nail guns...
