Argon into c02 bottle? For mig welding.?
I have a empty dot certified c02 bottle/tank that I would like to get filled with argon gas... Is this possable or is there a differance between the tanks used for said c02 and argon...
Hopping to use the tank I got so as not to have to purchase another tank.. Thanks for the help....
These bottles are chemical specific,they have a safety rating that is in part figured by the reaction of the certain gas on the tank.I think you may be able to trade in your old tank and get some kind of credit towards the proper bottle.I would not chance it.
