Where to buy MetroCards inside JFK airport (NYC)?
Are there MetroCard vending machines inside JFK? If not, are there stores inside JFK that sell MetroCards? I want to take the local bus Q6 then transfer to another bus. Does anyone know: (1) whether it is a long walk from the JFK airport to the Q6 bus stop on North Boundary Rd? (2) whether you can get a bus-to-bus transfer if you pay by coins, or are transfers only given with the MetroCards? Thanks!
No, there are no MetroCard Vending Machine, however there is MetroCard available at Hudson Newsstand.
If you bought $4 MetroCard, it's Pay-Per-Ride/Regular MetroCard that give you free transfer within 2-hour.
From Terminal 4, take Q3 to North Boundary Rd for Q6.
By cash (coins exact change ($2), ask for free transfer as you paid your fare on Q3 and follow same step as above.
