There is a light switch in my house that would cut on his porch light and i never put to and to together. well just recently my neighbor broke up with his girlfriend and the power was in her name. so yesterday she called to have his power cut off. well when his power went off, half of my house did to. they are young and unreliable. how can i get this fixed. why did this happen? the landlord says he did not know about this, but
how couldn't he? i had the power company stop by and they were not much help. How much would it costs to get this fixed? someone please answer and help me, thank you
Had similar situation in an apt.
Only thing was, I was paying for an illegal apartment .
The landlord had a cow when the power co.showed up. & found the illegal tap.
Very surprised that the utility co. was not much help.
They are usually all over "theft of service" cases .
Might try calling again to report it.
Since you are renting ,the landlord is responsible.
Be careful of backlash from the owner if he is at fault , he might try to blame you .
