detailed car respray.?
uk question. I am building a show car (based on mk4 escort estate 3dr), and want to have a very high quality paint job with engine bay and interior done preferably from bare metal. i want a light metallic blue with a metal flake. the car will require a few touches up because of sum minor rust bubbles on the bonnet and rear wheel arch but no Major penetration.
how much for a very high quality, professional respray in a dust free environment? (approx)
i know many people will say it's not worth it but i have all ready put a lot of money into the car and the this is really the final job for the car.
Its very difficult to give a price without seeing the vehicle.
Are you sure you want it taking back to bare metal? Unless you suspect there is something untoward under the paint then its completely unnecessary to strip it back to bare metal.
As you are in the process of building the car i assume the engine and interior will already be stripped. If this is the case, i would imagine that you're looking in the region of £2,000 for a quality respray.
If you really want the complete vehicle stripping back to bare metal then it would be something like double the price.
