What should I pick to draw for art? (list)?
Ok so I am terrible at art, and I mean terrible.
But I have an important art exam next Friday and I need to choose an object to draw and I seriously have no clue what to pick!
I need help as to what I should draw, bearing in mind my standard is not very good.
The options are;
-Apples in an open paper bag.
-Broken egg shells in open egg carton
-carrot with foliage
-orange half peeled
-sods of turf
-clothes brush
-bunch of keys
-basket of clothes pegs
-hurling helmet
-machine part
-musical instrument
-open pack of biscuits
-pens and pencils in a coffee mug
I have a week to practice and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
It actually doesn't matter which subject you pick.
Artistic technical skill is based on how well you understand form, light, composition, values, symmetry, etc.
It's not "easier" to draw an apple than a biscuit. The QUALITY of your rendering is based on your skills, not on the specific object.
Just draw what YOU feel most comfortable with. If your exam is next Friday, you have some time to pick one of these subjects and do a few preliminary sketches. Get comfortable with the subject, then go for a more finished piece.
