How come all heavy people in the media are shown as...?
...Eating? Everytime I see an overweight person on TV or movies, they are always eating something? As if eating is what makes most everyone overweight? In diet commercials, its always insinuated that a person is overweight because they eat too much and thats not always the case. A lot of people have serious medical conditions that make them larger, such as thyroid problems and some medications for other issues will make a person gain weight. This being the case, why should these people be chastised the same as those who over indulge? I've seen society lately be wuite cruel to larger people - and it's not always their fault. Shouldn't the suggestion of food equals fat be stopped or changed or should we REALLY just stop and consider the other persons dilemma with a little understanding?
i am not heavy,but i have a condition called Polycystic ovaries,which can make me gain weight VERY easily,which i have done in the past.it causes havoc with insulin working properly in my body.i have to stay slim to prevent diabetes.but when i do gain a few pounds now and then,i don't see the point in trying to defend myself cos i think people would say i was making excuses.
Yeah,and i recall when "Roseanne" used to be on,she and her hubby were always eating.
