Whats the best place to punch someone to knock them out but not cause a serious injury ?
So whats the best place to punch some to end the fight but not cause any serious long term injury by mistake.
For example you could hit him at the top of the spinal cord but that could kill/paralyze him and you probably don't want to do that to anyone.
Also, can hitting the temple cause any long term injury.
Any punch anywhere can cause injury with enough force. Generally a punch to the temple will not cause much injury, though if it does knock them out, try not to let them hit their head on the way down - that would be where most bodily injury occurs in a fight.
A punch to the solar plexus will knock the wind of them, but is unlikely to knock them out. It is likely enough to incapacitate them for a few moments (longer with a solid blow). Likewise a small pop with the edge of your hand, a couple of knuckles or tips of a finger or thumb to the throat will typically immobilize a would be assailant.
