does anyone know the name fot those door knob lock covers, and where i can buy them. i dont mean the ones for child proofing, i mean the full on security version, that goes on the outside of ur home door knob, and locks into place????
I am not certain that i know what you are talking about...If you are talking about the knob covers that are typically seen on homes for sale, I would check with a local realtor. They make them electronic, or keyed. If you are talking about something else, your best best would be to head to a Lowes, Menard's, home Depot etc, and ask someone for help in the locks and door knobs section.
A tip: If you are trying to make your home more secure, all that little knob cover will do is keep an honest person out. The door could still easily be kicked in, or better yet, a window could be broken. For security, I took 8 inch METAL strike plates and screwed them in, in place of the normal, standard CHEAP strike plate. This will make it, EXTREMELY difficult for a mad man to pick my lock or kick in my door. Steel doors are best, but on a budget you can opt for steel center only. I also had ADT install an alarm.
