i would like to build an electronic device based on an infrared motion detection system.?
the device would also involve an audio oscillator modulation hookup associated with the changes detected by the infrared
for instance, the nearer an object to the IR beam, the higher a pitch would sound - the further away, the lower a pitch ; but for instance the modulation speed could change as well, instead of pitch
also i was wondering where to buy an agitation type motion sensor, for instance, a car alarm type sensor that detects bumps - but on a smaller scale
I am an electronic musician and have an idea for a sort of i guess a but humble "theremin-esque" musical instrument idea i would like to try to build
i know there are devices of which i speak, on the small scale, on some electronic music devices, keyboards, some of the Korg units have them I know...
but i would like to take a bit of that tech and make it large scale - on the scale of perhaps one of those electronic door opener IR beams - but preferably the beam would be very precise in depth perception
