How do you get to the spark plugs on a 2005 Hyundai Accent?
They're buried about 4 inches into what looks like a non-functional casing or casing on the motor. Neither my 3/8 or 1/2 drive sockets (spark plug or regular) will fit down the damn thing, which is too narrow to get the socket down.
I don't have the Chilton manual b/c the Accent is in one of those $100 mega-manuals.
Is it necessary to remove additional pieces from the motor? Is there a special tool for this model/motor? Do they even make spark plug sockets for girlie-man 1/4 drives, and would those be narrow enough? Or is it just a less conventional socket I could pick up at a well-stocked auto parts retailer? Do I just have to eat the mechanic fees for what should be a $10 DIY repair?
if it is really a 2005 hyundai accent a regular 5/8ths spark plug socket should fit. double check your application, and your tools.
