Why wont my 2009 Kia Optima start?

I recently purchased a new 2009 Kia Optima SX because of the amazing rebates and Toyota trade- in I had. This morning on my way to work I stopped at a gas station and when getting back into my car, it wouldnt start. I dont mean like a dead battery, I mean I put the key in the ignition and turned it and literally nothing happened. No sound from the engine, warning lights or anything else that would have led me to believe that something was wrong. I got home tonight from work and was going to run an errand when the same thing happened. The keyless entry isnt working anymore and when I push the locks my self on the inside, nothing happens. Its like a total and complete electronic meltdown. The battery for the car isnt dead. The battery for the keyless entry isnt dead. Ideas?

sounds like faulty wiring, when you turn the ignition does it make any sound? if not its your ignition switch, and the dead electric stuff in it sounds like maybe a wire was rubbed/melted/ burnt in half
