When should I go to newspapers over massive case of abuse to a vulnerable adult?
I have been helping my friend fight a massive case of all types of abuse,to a 36year old man (my friends son) with learning difficulties. Police, Social Services and other relevant organizations are doing nothing. Much of this case is proven by an independent investigator taken on by the Amateur Swimming Association, (this involves 2 swimming coaches), and much of the abuse has been admitted. To get justice for this man we feel it has to come out in the newspapers but we don't know if this is the right time, or should we keep waiting for the other organisations that appear to be doing nothing? This has been going on for 3 years and can't go on for much longer as it is killing my friend.Thank you to anyone that can help.
NOW would be a good time. It should not have gone on that long in the first place. You so called friends are just as guilty for this abuse!! Why hasn't somebody kick the coaches a**es by now?? Friends don't let friends get abused. My brother and I one summer in high school kicked these other two that were brothers a**es all summer long because they would not leave this kid alone. I guess I was raised different. GOOD LUCK and at least remove your friend from the situation, at least do that much..
