Is there a default passkey to the Motorola HS-580 Bluetooth Headset and how can you change it?
I just got this headset for work and after going through the initial setup and procedures (without much problem) I'm left to wander if the code/passkey given in the user's manual is a default and whether I can change it (which is usually the case right?). I ran into the French part of the manual before reading anything about the code. I'm new to this...help. 
generally the default code is 0000
Im not sure if you can change it and I am not sure why you'd want to , there is no advantage to that ..
I checked the Motorola site and It didn't list the HS 580 but it does list a HS 850 .. either way the default code for most BT head sets is the same
Once the phone and BT are " paired ' you shouldn't have to do it again .. If you have any more problems please list the type of phone your using it wih ...
