Types of Horse Corrals to use/ buy in the Coastal South?
We are moving from California to Coastal Georgia and I will take any info I can get on giving my horses the best life there.
One question I have is whether people in the South own/buy horse pipe corral panels to keep there horses? We have heavy duty corrals that are 24 feet long, made of heavy galvanized steel, they clamp together and can make very large paddocks or 24x24 corrals with ease.
We are thinking of taking them as I don't see the south has this sort of thing readily available on craigslist or in feed stores, etc.
Are pre-made corrals not used due to their cost or rust (not so much with galvanized), or just a East coast/West coast thing?
How about pre built barns and metal buildings? What is the best way to go about these things in keeping horses in the South?

Well i Just moved form texas and yes they have the horse panels and yes pre built barns..one thing that they have that north doesn't have is sweet feed. the panels are expensive... you will have to do some looking around to get a good deal. I wish you best luck.. its warm year around so you wont have to worry about your horses being cold! My horse in Texas doesn't have a winter coat!
