Blue Steel Cement

Does Your job make you feel this way?
They ripped me off from the raw land
That smelled of spring and nurtured plants
And locked me up in a cement box
Florescent lights - faked the sun rays
And a machine pumped air
They turned the key and shut the locks
My soul withered there
I laid immobile and forgotten
In a prosthetic lump of days
I found resolve in turning wheels
They bolted down in my cage
And desolate my mind lost luster
And blood was turning into lead
There were gods and kings and masters
Their snapped their whips and pulled the leash
I fell apart and came together
I struggled from sunrise till dawn
And memories of fields in summer
And of blue sky and clear thought
Then faded ravished by the stupor
My steel and glass jail wrought...
It sounds like you seriously dislike your job, and are feeling unappreciated with where you are. I can honestly say that I love going to work everyday. I was lucky in finding a job where I like all my coworkers, what I do for my job, and that I love where I work. I am so glad that I am not one of those people that wakes up in the morning dreading walking through the doors at work each morning.
If this is truly the way you feel, I feel bad for you. Look for another position that will help you feel better about yourself, and your value in society.
Good luck!
