Buying drums for our band: problems.?
Okay, so we have a so called drummer, and he's been saying for a year now that he wants to buy drums. We've been waiting, hoping that we will have a drummer, which is usually the hardest member to find when starting a band. Now he's coming up with stupid stuff, like he wanted to buy drums with his brother, but his brother spent the money so he only has 30 000. A drumkit costs 80 000. We would have even gave him 10 000 but it seems like he always comes up with excuses. We are tired of waiting now. He said maybe he will have money this Xmas. What should we do? Wait for the bastard and maybe get fucked or buy our own drumkit and find another person who's willing to join? It costs a shitload of money, so idk. I wanted to buy a new amp. Does it worth it? Or we should just get together practicing without drums or just make beats in Guitar Pro or other software? If so, tell me what drum program is good and easy to use. What do you guys/girls think?
I think if that guy was really interested in committing to your band, he'd have bought a drumkit by now instead of making all these excuses.Tell him he's out, buy your own drums and find someone willing to join the band.Good luck anyways.
