What to do about going to college?
ok so I did not apply to a university this year because my dad said strongly NO because he is telling me I won't make it and that it is too hard and I will flunk out. so I said ok I will go to a community college for one year to ease into a university over a year. (and then do air force rotc like I planned, but now my sophomore yr instead of the cc freshmen yr). my hs gpa is 3.2 and I could have gotten into washington state university or central washington u. but since my dad said cc for freshmen yr...I said ill do that. now that I think of it...I want to go to a university next fall...no cc...my dad just said that so he can have control over me. he said I wouldn't make it so he could control me...but now its too late to apply for the air force or army rotc scholarship and to wsu or cwu...and i want to get out...so what do I do? I NEED to get away from my dads abuse and controlling...I know I will succeed in college and air force rotc or army rotc...so can someone help me? thanks.
Well based on the grammar of that nice paragraph you wrote, I can see why your dad said that you would flunk out of college.
As for what to do, double check the application deadline for all the universities that you're interested in because it may not be too late to apply. Some state schools have rolling admission meaning that they're very flexible in terms of an application deadline. If you find a university whose deadline has not already passed, then go ahead and fill out the application for it. You gotta take initiative if you ever want to get out of your house.
